Sport Marketing Association of Temple University is a student run professional organization geared to undergraduate students who have an interest in sport marketing.

Founding Fathers

The Sport Marketing Association of Temple University was founded in January of 2010.  Its founders are John Wright, Anthony Ciallela, Nicholas Fell, and Colt Dorsey.  Their goal was to create this student professional organization to give Temple University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management students the opportunity to network and gain industry experience in sport marketing.  The “Core 4″ believe it is important to hold events that will allow students to gain valuable experience to help further their professional experience.   They believe that offering internships to members of the organization is one of the most important goals .


The purpose of this organization shall be to expose Sport Management and Tourism and Hospitality majors to career professionals in the sport industry especially in sport marketing.  This will be accomplished by providing networking opportunities, speakers and volunteer opportunities to allow members to gain more knowledge about different careers in the sport marketing industry.
